Titanic. The still/frame is from the cinematographer Russell Carpenter.

The mise-en-scene in Titanic is made up of the costuming, lighting style, etc. The costuming and makeup portrays the difference between the high and low classes within the movie. The higher class is dressed in nice quality and expensive looking clothes with clean makeup and fully done hair. As the lower class is dressed in more cloth and cheap looking clothes and unfinished hair styles and little makeup. The lighting gives a feel of a gloomy event as it dims towards the end of the boat sinking.

Gossip Girl. The creator of the still/frame is James Nares.

The Mise-en-scene in gossip girl is made up of costuming, makeup, lighting , staging, etc. For costuming gossip girl shows high fashioned clothing, accessories, and jewelry. The costuming also shows that the characters are students as they are mostly dressed in school uniforms to portray teenagers. The lighting in the show uses bright lighting to show a happier mood and eventful parties that often occur. The staging and camera movements allow for Mise en scene because it zooms in and out to show dramatics and expressions.

Gilmore girls. The creator of the still/frame is Amy Sherman Palladino.

The Mise-en-scene is Gilmore girls is made up of mostly costuming, location, and makeup. The costuming in Gilmore girls is mostly made up of school uniforms, everyday wear to represent a small town vibe and young teenage and mom look. The location helps us understand Mise-en-scene by representing how the small town plays a role in the different relationships of the characters. The makeup is simple to represent a teenage look for most to make a believable scene. The lighting has a cozy and lighter feel to allow the audience to set the mood in a cold and inviting area.
